A very good presentation of the theme about a family tragedy. A gripping tale of the family and home as both a haven and a hell: and the toxicity of love(sic) - unless taken in almost homeopathic doses. 9 out of 20 found this helpful. This is not a film for the faint of heart.
But a roll of photos the survivor took that night tells a different story. Exhibit A, continuing with long, epic songs (averaging around 6 minutes) with darker themes centered on war, death, society, politics and religion. The scenes also drag on for far too long with little plot advancement.

The premise sounded like something a little different in the found footage genre, but alas, it was the same old story just with different characters. Other than the natural cuts from scene to scene, there is very little in-scene cutting, meaning the actors delivered and met their marks. I can only assume the mediocre rating is a knee-jerk response to the fact that it's 'found footage'.. (or maybe people went into it expecting more of a horror movie?) Since most all FF films are acted out based on an outline and dialogue points to it, you see a LOT of cuts since the actors mess up their "lines." If I wanted to see this I have plenty of option on television to do so. Its Large, coffee table size, heavy and thick; its everything you would want in a collection of his pictures. The found footage genre gets quite a lot of stick. 1 out of 1 found this helpful. The movie takes a while to get going, the thriller portion only starts near the end, the beginning being more of a family drama. Admittedly it does feel like a new found footage horror film is churned out every week and most of them feel like the same film. I dont like camcorder/found footage movies but I found this engaging right up until the shocking ending.
