Trash receptacles remain un emptied and a premium price to stay. Seems all they want is $$$$ and nothing else. We took a walk through the campground and saw that almost all of the sites are unlevel. By the time we left less than 2 years later we had paid over $6000 in lot and boat slip rent! If you stay there just remember you were warned. They read the meters themselves and told us what we owed. Our campsite was good. Very rude staff, place looks nothing like the brochure, very worn and dirty, lot of broken things, etc. Their website and their brochure advertised "Good Sam", but they never offered the discount and we forgot to ask (shame on us, I suppose). There were many "downed" trees and sites uninhabitable due to rain storms.
Employee on golf cart stopped in front of my sons car preventing him from leaving campground and screamed at him for not having a car pass. Save 10% on Good Sam Resorts. Bath houses closed, in a state of disrepair. Very nice campground with all amenities. We had issues with our power and the guys were very helpful. I would suggest Lake Dubay County Park about 2 miles up from here actually on Lake Dubay. This was our first time camping on a permanent site and we weren’t quite sure what to expect.
Utilities good. There are a lot of seasonal people here, which is not a problem for us.

Avoid at all costs.We have been coming to this park with our family and friends to camp in our RV's every Memorial Day and 4th of July for at least the past 5 years.Worst customer service I've ever experienced at any campground in my life. After 4 months of waiting I finally wrote them and got our $400 deposit back (but not until I requested it). we reserved a site, and realized we had a previous committment. They treat adults like children who have to be monitored every minute of the day and night. This was at midnight and the office was closed. If they spent as much time cleaning up and repairing things as they do watching people they might get something done. Lake Dubay Shores Campground Campgrounds. I have stayed in campgrounds coast to coast and this is absolutely the worst place I’ve ever made the mistake of staying. Do not go here. Actually this wouldn't be a bad campground except for the fact that if you put your levelers down and don't use boards, the wheels of your motorhome are off the ground. I would feel safer in a rest area.Based on other reviews I didn't know what to expect when we got here.
