I like easy, especially when you are a busy farm wife and homeschooling and ......I have the book and wanted all the items needed for the experiments in hand.These kits cut down my time involved and makes it more likely that the experiments are actually completed.It is soooooo much easier to do the experiments when the items you need are right in the box.
These books use the classical and Charlotte Mason methodology including narration and notebooking to develop critical thinking, logical ordering, retention, and record keeping.These books came to the attention of Apologia and Dr. Jay Wile, who came to an agreement with the author to take over editing and publishing them. Everything you need is right there ready to go So thankful for the convenience this provides a busy homeschooling mom!I just opened this kit and did the first experiment with my kids It was fabulous No there was nothing exotic required for the first experiment but the chances that I had all the stuff on hand very slim And the fact that I didn't have to think about it or go shopping priceless!This price does look high compared to some others but this kit is amazing It turned our science experiments in the past couple of years (slim to none) into part of the curriculum like they should be I live overseas so some of the items are simply not available Having each experiment already pre-pack in separate zip-bags is the icing on the cake I am confident my kids would not be getting these hands-on opportunities if it were not for this lab kit Most experiment contents are enough for 2 experiments or more Things we had to add? I would definitely say this is worth the cost to make sure you will get science done instead of putting it off because you are missing something necessary for the day's activity.Our first year with Apologia and just love it due to all the hands on suggestions and activities. At the end of each chapter.
