When the router is set up, instead of their PC’s WiFi Adapter detecting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidth signals, it only detects 2.4GHz bandwidth signal.There are various reasons because of which the problem of 5GHz WiFi not showing up in Windows 10 may occur.
But the 5GHZ network just goes away completely, my devices show they aren't connected, and our phones don't see it at all.
Tried all recommended fixes and the laptop will still not detect 5G networks.Same here.
Some of these methods are just for probing purpose and will only tell you whether your PC or WiFi Router is compatible with 5GHz Wifi or 5G WiFi.
When the worker was here, he saw on his phone my netgear wifi and the 5g showed up and disappeared. Comcast came out and checked all my lines to verify I am not having an issue.
I believe I have the newest FW version.

It would have the information if your router supports 5GHz.If you can’t find the info on the box or can’t find box itself, go look for your router manufacturer name and model number.
Following general troubleshooting practice, I then logged into the router through a hard wired connection, reset the router to factory defaults, disabled automatic firmware updates, and reconfigured the whole system.
iphone and android phone are the same situation cannot see the 5G wifi.

It happens during different times of the day regardless of whether the router is being heavily used for streaming or just sitting idle.

Yes, with Smart Connect on, ONLY 1 SSID is broadcast, and it is the 2.4Ghz one, and the same password is used as well.
Modem is a Pace 5268AC. Also, I have another laptop that connects to this 5Ghz network and it experiences the same issue.

After power to my router was restored, both my 2.4 and 5G networks were gone.
V1.3.1.44_10.1.23, the previous firmware version, and the issue is still there. They did however refer me to comcast.
All of a sudden my home network took a dump.

Power cycling the router or disabling/enabling SSID broadcast usually gets it back online.
My Wireless USB 5G adapter lost connection to the Cox router and will not reconnect; many reboots/resets of the modem/PC have accomplished nothing.
I'm having the same issue with the R6300 on the 5Ghz radio.
