Diane is I believe the manager and is always happy and friendly and when were there felt like a true guest. Not a ritzy place, just a local casual place to stay. Our room was comfy and clean, the beds were most comfortable. My wife won't admit it but she is a bit of a hotel snob as well.

Built sometime in the 1940's it is a welcome stop for fisherman, boaters, and snowmobilers. The cleanliness has seemed to improve of late which makes a HUGE difference. restaurants within 10 minutes of resort.Rooms are in small motel and you take one facing north to the lake. Surround yourself with the best of nature on Wisconsin's largest wilderness lake.Fish for crappie, bluegill, northern, walleye, bass and, of course, world class muskies.Listen to the Loons and watch our beautiful sunsets. Great views of the lake and we had campfires in the fire pit every night. The rooms are small with two double beds, we all brought our own bedding and pillows. These rooms have patio doors...The Big Musky resort is not a chain hotel/motel resort. We will be back for sure.Not a fancy place but has all that is needed for a good fishing trip. Docked our boat, had a patio looking out over lake, just a great time. Cold drinks and friendly service. Blending traditional links land and north woods beauty, this layout has something for everyone. In a nut shell as long as this resort continues on the upward trend of cleaning these rooms and cabins this is a great place to stay.
Rather it is a resort run by individuals that care about you and yours. The Big Musky is right on the trail for ATVing and snowmobiling. The two bedroom cabin was very clean, I was waiting for my mom to complain but she really liked it.
2,491 were here. The bar is a part of northern Wisconsin history.
We stayed couple years ago during the winter for snowmobiling and liked it then.
