In 19 games this season, Avdija is averaging 12.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game on 56.6 percent shooting from the floor and 41.7 percent shooting from deep. 15-35. Considering he’s already a gifted scorer, he’s somebody you’d be happy to gamble on. He’s also a very smart team defender. Maledon is one of the most interesting players in this draft. If that changes, that’ll really open up his game. Avdija can slide across multiple positions on the defensive end. Once he does, Hayes is going to be able to use his body to punish smaller defenders on his way to the basket. The lefty is hitting just 26.1 percent of his threes in league play. But he does have enough size to guard three positions. His form isn’t anywhere near broken, and he has good touch around the basket. On the defensive end, Maledon’s lack of athleticism also hurts him quite a bit in isolation. He also shoots a nice enough ball to make scouts believe that he’ll eventually be able to consistently knock down threes.
