The Paddock is a great place overlooking the beach that will remind you why you are in the city in the first place. You can walk to this strand of almost continuous beaches in less than 20 minutes. Druif Beach, the closest, is excellent for sunbathing but narrow and sometime crowded. Palm tree-lined Manchebo Beach starts immediately after the low-rise hotel district ends. At Carlos and Charlie’s you get a bit of the western mood with the playlist being only classics from the 60s to 80s. Surfside Beach boasts a long, narrow strip of beach, ideal for gatherings and picnics under the trees and calm waters that make this area an excellent playground for SUP paddle boarding, canoeing and such.
