This small yet comforting establishment has a really dope happy hour. My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning at 11am. We felt super rushed during our meal. I ordered a salad and a side of fried eggs- really great. He was a lot of personality and was hilarious. The place is small quaint and cute - more long than wide. REX 1516 serves quality Southern-inspired food in a beautiful faded mansion environment. Three years later & a slightly different menu... Rex still has it! Their happy hour menu is very straightforward and easy to read.
If you tell him your booze of choice - he'll make you something special. A few days later, I got a very nice private Yelp message from the owner (the person I had met last fall). Such a good dinner.
