Francis is a perfectionist and readily admits to having borderline OCD.As a result, every single aspect of every funeral must be perfect. Netflix has gone overboard on trying to create films, this one needs to stop publicising grieving people for their money hungry pockets.

It should not be on television where people can watch you mourn and bury your loved ones. I am amazed that so many families open themselves up to being filmed at a most emotional time, but what I have learned from this show about Maori and Samoan culture and their view of death explains it. Life, in it's brevity, has oftentimes made me ignore what will be a certainty to us all. It's a very well shot and edited reality series. The show cuts back and forth to individual interviews which are frankly hilarious. The funeral directors themselves are also amazing. Instead, it is an uplifting look at an otherwise very difficult time in most people's lives. They only want publicity and money! And every programme is dedicated to the deceased which is really neat. This company (Tipene funerals) and its staff and owners have shed a light on this industry that's so beautiful, sensitive, respectful and caring. It's also an excellent education into the Māori culture!Necessary cookies are absolutely essential for the website to function properly.
Proprietors Francis and Kaiora Tipene are brilliant. Never seen someone such a perfect fit for a job.
How to explain The Casketeers on Netflix, that is the dilemma.
All the families of the deceased agreed to being shown. Funny, happy, sad, cultural, loving, respectful, enjoyable, open mind, a few words that best describes this programme. This is just a great show.
Humble and human they are likeable if unlikely guides. We will all lose loved ones too. Because if you don't, it will consume you alive and take you down a very dark path. Warm, kind, and respectful, I find comfort visiting the Tipenes. If you pay attention, you will see that there is never any egregious display of the bodies.
