The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking, trail running, and road biking. Onsite there is also a golf course, fishing center, hiking trails, and a day-use area. The park is filled with activities to accommodate Nothing to see deer in the campground and the road around the park early in the morning and late afternoon.

If you're into camping, there is a nice campground right along Lake Guntersville. Even this late in the season, I was lucky enough to view three juvenile Eagles yesterday hunting for lunch over the lake by the beach pavilion. The views from the lodge and chalets are awesome, and there are nice cabins near the lake. The park also borders the Guntersville Reservoir, and has thousands of acres of forest. Location is great - essentially on the water. They have a nice restaurant in the lodge, a sandy beach, boat dock, campground, and golf course.
